How I Stay Motivated.

I recently turned 22.

10 months into 2017, I have achieved a lot and took a break from this blog, albeit writing on Medium where I connected with a lot of Medium Writers. My friend introduced Medium to me as a by the way and I am so grateful.

Medium is a great platform for those who want to stay motivated, and learn from top writers plus if you are in Stripe supported countries, you can earn money by “locking” your posts.

I finished my undergraduate in March and I am in my 3rd Job as a Digital Content Creator at MumsVillage. Writing there and on other publications has left me drained to  update this blog but am back.
I respect all the 530 bloggers and awesome peeps who follow me and I have MAJOR plans for this blog so thank you for sticking around.

Here’s How I stay Motivated:

I normally wake up at 5 am-ish. I would love to sleep in on some days, make breakfast at 9 am on others in skimpy clothes dancing to some music but I can’t. I am not complaining. I love reading my morning devotions, reading articles on medium, jumping on my to do list.

Apart from that, I work two buses away from where I live so I have to beat the traffic and be on time.This means being motivated every day.

Prepare the day Before. Pack your lunch and set your clothes before you sleep. This helps me avoid time wastage.

Listen to faith building messages and podcasts. I love listening to Terry Savelle Foy and I recently discovered Jesus and Jollof by Luvvie Ajayi and Yvonne Orji.

Positive affirmations. Something good is going to happen today. I am key believer of speaking things into existence.

Journaling. The rants in my journals are so bad that I don’t want to go back and read them again. That’s how I get stuff off my chest. I also have a gratitude journal, a planner and a notebook.

Have a to do list and note down time as you tackle and finish the task. This helps me stay on focus and transition to the next task.

Setting goals. At the beginning of every week, I set goals and keep my clothes ready for the entire week. One less thing to worry about and more time to spare.

Finally, make a decision to stay motivated. There’s a lot in life that will try to steal your joy. It’s up to you how you respond.
