Book Review: Girl Boss By Sophia Amoruso.

A #GirlBoss is someone who is in charge of her own life. She gets what she wants because she works for it. ~ Sophia Amoruso, GirlBoss.

GirlBoss was lent to me by a colleague and I must say that I really enjoyed it. Based on a real-life story, Sophia Amoruso builds her own Fashion Company called NastyGal and goes to share her nuggets in the book. As a person in the writing, blogging and fashion industry, I really loved this book as it showed me that other women in the e-commerce and blogging world had made it.

Sophia has recently launched a Women’s version of LinkedIn and is making Boss Moves in her career.

Sophia moves from homeless to Mogul and shares her tips on becoming a #GirlBoss. I wrote some of my favourite quotes down.

Favourite Quotes From #GirlBoss

If you’re like me, you might yourself highlighting quotes and aha moments in books and taking longer than usual to finish a whole book. These are the quotes I thought I should share with you. I have more, but those are for my writing processes.

What I Loved About This Book

Sophia mixed her story and lessons with those of successful solopreneurs, bloggers and e-commerce moguls. She let them tell their story in GirlBoss with links to their work. It’s a great way to discover a tribe of similar minds and know their story.

GirlBoss has been turned into a Netflix movie which I am yet to watch but will soon do as I have already read the book. Let me know what you think about the Movie if you have watched it.
